Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and Cupid has taken aim at the most-shopped intersection in Dallas—specifically, at The Shops at Park Lane. We believe that Valentine’s Day is an equal opportunity holiday, so we’re sharing the best ways to celebrate no matter who your valentine is…even if he or she is furry and slobbers a little too much.
If you’re a card-carrying member of “all the single ladies,” then you’re undoubtedly planning a GALentine’s Day bash with your best (single) gal pals. This cheeky tee from Francesca’s is the ideal choice for girls’ night out—or in—on February 14, because it pairs just as perfectly with skinny jeans, a blazer and the tallest heels in your closet as it does with yoga pants. Don’t forget the wine, bubbly and treats from Whole Foods to get the party started.
Wait, you actually have a date on Valentine’s Day? No pressure or anything, but the pressure’s on. Lucky for you, we’ve got a no-fail date night plan: drinks, eats and bowling at Bowl & Barrel. The plan is genius, because there’s nothing like a little friendly competition to show just how much you like
each other to win. Might as well get it out there now, right? All’s fair in love and bowling.

Pint-sized valentines might just be the best kind. We live for school theme days, and Valentine’s Day gives us a prime opportunity to dress them in red, pink, x’s and o’s to our heart’s content. This year, we’re loving the collections at Carter’s and The Children’s Place (balloons not included, sorry).
If a four-legged valentine has stolen you heart, we totally get it. Surprise them with a treat or new toy from Unleashed by Petco this Valentine’s Day, followed by a long romantic trip to the park—they’ll be yours fur-ever, and they won’t even complain about cuddling afterward. Just to prove your love (and #catlady status), we recommend this mug spotted at Francesca’s. The book’s not bad on the eyes either. Me-ow.
Having a valentine who’s another living, breathing human is fun, but let’s be honest—your favorite person is you. We’ve done the research and found that there is not a single rule that says you can’t be your own valentine. If your ideal Valentine’s Day involves takeout and a good binge-watch, you need something that will keep you extra comfy, like these sweats from Nordstrom Rack. You could also go the pampering route with stress-relieving bath and skincare products from Ulta.

We’ve saved the best for last. Don’t forget to celebrate your one true love this Valentine’s Day: pizza. In good times and in bad, pizza is always there for you. We suppose you could share a pizza with someone you like (not as much as pizza, of course) at Grimaldi’s on February 14, but beware of anyone who doesn’t let you have the last slice. They’re clearly not in it for the long haul.
